KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent – Vincentian ambassador to the United Nations, Camillo Gonsalves will discuss with fellow citizens in New York his recent arrest by a cop in that North American city.
The diplomat will speak at a town hall meeting on Wednesday, April 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Friends of Crown Heights Educational Centre, 671 Prospect Place, Brooklyn, NY, between Bedford and Franklyn Avenue.
The event is organised by the Consulate General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, USA and the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Diaspora Committee of New York.

A New York Police Department officer on March 28 arrested Gonsalves in the lobby of his office building after the diplomat stepped between barriers outside of the building.
The cop, who handcuffed the envoy, reportedly injuring him in the process, later cited disorderly conduct.
The government here has said it is considering diplomatic and legal option for redress.
