KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent – Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has delayed his trip to Qatar after complaining of feeling unwell during his stopover in Barbados Wednesday.
Elson Crick, communication consultant in the Office of the Prime Minister, said in an email to the media Thursday morning that Gonsalves is seeing a doctor in Bridgetown and will decide later in the day whether to continue with the trip or return to Kingstown.
Jimmy Prince, director of the Agency for Public Information, and Cleo Jones-Huggins of Invest SVG are proceeding to Qatar as planned, for the UNCTAD meeting, Crick said.
New York based Ambassador to the United Nations Camillo Gonsalves, who is also part of the delegation, is now in Kuwait.
