KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, March 3, IWN — With the soothing sound of Starlift Steel Orchestra playing in the background, Balcombe’s Residence’s at Indian Bay was Saturday transformed into an evening of glamour and beauty with the staging of Déjà vu Past, Present & Future.

Patrons at the sold-out event weren’t disappointed with the showcasing of six local designers’ collections, along with featured designer, “Project Runway” Season 9 designer, Viktor Luna.

Also a hit for the night was the varied display of work in the fashion village from McAllister Design with his colourful portraits, Renaissance Creations with her earrings, Merle’s Art & Craft with her weave creations, Bentt Jewellery, Immense Bags and Just Jeon with her unique clutches that were also featured in Kimmystic Clo. Collection.

The models were on point the entire night with pieces from Poshelle — Lisa Cordice, Atelier Shernicia — Shernicia Mayers, Tami B — Tamiko Browne, Ethel — Donna Weekes, Kimmystic Clo. — Kimon Baptiste, and Viktor Luna.

The show and the fashion on display also reiterated that not only is there great hidden talents in St. Vincent and the Grenadines but also that Vincentian designers can compete with any designer in the world.

With great anticipation, Viktor Luna showcased his collection with not only exude “sophistication punctuated with dark sensuality and a punk rock pulse” but also highlighted his love for the colour red with his decadent gowns.

Kimon Baptiste of Kimmystic Clo. organizer of Déjà vu Past, Present & Future, a first time event, thanked everyone for making her dream a reality and hinted it would not be her last.
