KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, April 27, IWN – The Fruta Busta SVG Gospel Fest 2013 climaxes this weekend with a series of shows.
Friday night the Gospel Fest Committee staged a Youth Night at the Faith Temple Church in New Montrose with performances from a number of young artistes from around the country. This included the much anticipated re-match between the Christian and the unsaved, Holirem Dramatists, Radiance and Alayna Dublin. There were also special guest appearances from international gospel artistes, Jason Providence and Zina Edwards. Pastor Veryl Howard, leader of the USA Mission Team visiting for gospel fest delivered a special message entitled: “God loves our youth too”.
The National Gospel Showcases will take place on Saturday and Sunday nights at Victoria Park.
There will be performances in song, dance and drama from some of the most outstanding artistes coming out of the zonal showcases held earlier in the month.
Scheduled to appear are: Fenton Harry, Jewel Cordice, Eden, Gospel Gems and dance groups such as the Miracle Dancers, Shabach and David’s Descendants among others.
The most outstanding solo, duet, group or band in song will win a recording and video contract compliments Mt. Zion Productions.
Zina Edwards will be the featured artiste on Saturday night with Jason Providence taking the spotlight on Sunday night. On both nights there will be ministry of the word from the USA Mission Team with Psalmist Delarance McGinney and prophetic dancer Jarmelya Simmons.
The Fruta Busta SVG Gospel Fest 2013 is being celebrated under the theme: “Lifting Jesus Higher”.
The festival is into its 11th year.
