When it was announced that Edward Snowden had exposed the NSA’s secret surveillance programme, most of us did not understand the far-reaching consequences of the matter.
The transcribed phone calls and emails of Caribbean leaders and in particular leaders of countries belonging to ALBA are about to be released. They are in for a great awakening. All their plans and schemes discussed on telephones and in emails are to be made public.
Hugo Chavez was a prime target and so were leaders of small Caribbean countries who wanted to be comrades at arms to Chavez, and even the Castro’s and their ministries have all been under electronic surveillance, all such information is to be subject to publication, in a similar way to WikiLeaks.
It’s no wonder the Americans have been trying to capture Snowden. But even if they do, its all to late to stop. A top journalist and others now have the records and are compiling them for Internet publication.
Remember in the case of phone calls, this is not like the WikiLeaks documents, these are actually identifiable voices, the transcripts can be backed up with voice wave rhythm evidence if required. Its called forensic voice identification software, and its available everywhere today.
From the very off, Ecuador understood what the release of these documents could mean, they offered Snowden asylum in real quick time.
President Morales of Bolivia has said it will close its US embassies if any Bolivian records are made public. The Bolivian president even flew to Russia to try and convince Snowden to come to Bolivia. When Morales flew home to Bolivia, his aeroplane was refused permission to use the airspace of France, Spain and Portugal and was forced to land at Austria for refuelling, where the aeroplane was searched for Snowden.
Bolivian President Evo Morales’ plane was diverted to Austria due to rumours that US surveillance whistle-blower Edward Snowden was on board. Morales’ plane had been scheduled to refuel in Portugal.
The Venezuelan president, Maduro offered asylum to Snowden and said the door is open.
This bunch of Marxists know the potential of these records, they may will expose drug dealing in South American countries and also the involvement of some of these regimes with rebels and terrorists in such countries as Colombia.
No wonder they are running scared.
In the end Snowden was granted asylum by the Russians.
The saying that has been used so many times against Caribbean leaders: “If you lay down with dogs, you will get up with fleas”.
