Police say they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Adrian Thomas, 39, a sailor of Welcome, which occurred yesterday, Monday. Police say they were informed that the deceased and another man got into an altercation which resulted in the deceased sustaining a stab wounds to his chest. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
Urvin Abbott is in police custody and assisting the police with the investigations.
A post mortem examination is expected to perform to ascertain the cause of death.
