These “beauty” contests are so old fashioned and so degrading of women. They send the demeaning message to young people, male and female alike, that the main value of women is their sexual desirability. SVG has dozens of such contests running non-stop all year long, a level well out of proportion to the size of the population and well in excess of the number of such “tits-‘n-bum” displays in other countries. No wonder we have such a high level of rape and physical abuse of women.
