The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association (SVGCA) has appointed its selection panels, in keeping with its new constitution.

Two selection committees have been established: a junior, and a senior.

The junior will select the under-15 and under-19 teams, while the senior panel will select the male and female senior teams.

Former Windward Islands and SVG batsman, Roland Wilkinson will chair the senior panel.

The other members are former Windward Islands and SVG batsman Lance John; Wendell Glasgow, an experience coach; and former Barbados batsman, and present coach in St. Vincent, Arnold Gilkes.

On the junior panel, the selectors are SVG under-15 and Windward Islands under-17 manager, Samuel Holder; former SVG and Windward Islands leg spinner, and national under-19 coach, Olanzo Jackson; and former SVG female cricketer, Samantha Lynch.

In addition, a selector from the senior committee will chair the youth panel.

The selection committees will serve for two years.

The SVGCA recently completed an official selection policy, drafted to guide the selectors.

This is in line with the 2015-2017 strategic plan, which emphasises the goal of having Vincentian players on West Indies teams at all levels.
