After successfully donating Christmas packages to residents of La Croix, Mesopotamia, Evesham and Richland Park over the holidays, JEMS, a New York-based non-for-profit organisation, has focused its attention on assisting a pre-school in Enhams.
On Tuesday, JEMS “Hope For Home,” distributed educational items, books, and foodstuff to the preschool.
The students were presented with gift bags.
The driving force behind the donation is JEMS’ president, Carol Simmons.
Simmons coordinated with Annetta Jackson, operator of the preschool to facilitate the donation.
“This is our fourth year of philanthropic work. There is no halt in us. Looking at the joy on the face of our children, it gives us purpose and pride. Today, we are motivated more than ever before,” Simmons said at the pre-school.
