A 17-year-old Community College student was hospitalised Monday after being knocked off the road and into a yard below an embankment while walking along Casson Hill sometime around 3 p.m.

Judith Davy-Thomas told I-Witness News that her son, Kyle Davy of Sion Hill, suffered three broken fingers on the left hand, a swollen face and bloodshot left eye as a result of the incident.

Doctors at Milton Cato Memorial Hospital decided to admit him for observation, Davy-Thomas said.

She told I-Witness News that Davy told her that he was walking along Casson Hill when he saw the vehicle coming toward him.

He was thrown over the wall into the property below and the vehicle fastened his shoulder when it landed.

Several vehicles have over the year ran off the road and come to a stop in the yard of houses below the embankment.
