ST. GEORGES, Grenada — A 35-year-old Vincentian national who was on her way to London was on Friday remanded to jail after a package containing cocaine was found in her luggage.

Police investigators have charged Donna Laidlow with possession and trafficking of control drug.

She was nabbed at the Maurice Bishop International Airport after a search of her luggage turned up cocaine, police say.

Police have not disclose the amount nor the value of the illegal substance.

Laidlow, who arrived Grenada in transit on Wednesday, was due to depart on a flight to London.

She appeared in court on Friday and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison at Richmond Hill.

She is due back in Court next Friday.
