While all the activities seemed to be taking place on the Windward side of St. Vincent on Monday, National Hero’s Day, elderly and less fortunate persons from South Leeward were treated to a hero’s luncheon put on by the D-Tunnel Sports Bar and Restaurant in Campden Park.
D-Tunnel hosted the event in conjunction with “Randy D” Dowell.
Some 75 elderly persons from as far as Buccament Bay attended the event.
The luncheon, which ran from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., began with a prayer session then luncheon and karaoke.
Host of the luncheon, Wran Gould, proprietor and manager of D-Tunnel, said he was very pleased to give back to the community and pledged to make the event an annual one
