The man who died after being shot in the chest in Diamond Wednesday night has been identified as Vermont resident Sheldon Pollin.
Police said that Pollin, 47, was at a liquor shop operated by his girlfriend in Diamond when two masked assailants shot him and another man who was at the shop.
Pollin was shot in the chest and died on his way to the Stubbs Polyclinics, police say.
The other man, Richard Barnwell, was shot in the chest and foot, but survived his injuries.
