Most tri-tri fish species are the result of fresh-water river spawning by salt-water ocean fish whose offspring are trying to swim back to the sea where they will grow into large fish that can be caught by the same people killing off the hatchlings.
When we say our fish stocks are being depleted, we shouldn’t just blame foreign fishing boats as people like Peter Binose chronically do.

Of course, no government would ever ban this destructive practice, claiming that like whale fishing in Bequia it is part of our Vinci culture.
What a government! What a culture!
