The 2017 St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Co- operative Credit Union Clinchers T20 Softball Cricket Competition continued last weekend at the Richland Park Oval and in winners row were Country meet Town out ah Trouble 1, Dr. Thomas Injectors, Calder United and Street Fighters.
On Saturday in the lone match possible, Country meet Town out ah Trouble 1 defeated Gairy Construction Stingers by 6 wickets.
SCORES: Gairy Construction Stingers 86 in 19 overs, Adonis Nanton 38 (4×4, 3×6), Kenran Williams 4/24; Country meet Town out ah Trouble ONE 88/4, 12.3 overs, Asif Hooper 31* (4×6, 1×4) Mickel Mapp 23 (3×6, 1×4).
The earlier match between Warriors Sports Club and Carrier Blazers was rescheduled.
It was the Damion Allen show on Sunday as Dr. Thomas Injectors beat Country Meet Town out ah Trouble 1 by 8 wickets.
Country Meet Town out ah Trouble 1 were bowled out for 90 in 17.5 overs) with Allen taking 4/15 from 3.5 overs. He then returned to smash 69 with 8 sixes and 3 fours to help Dr. Thomas Injectors to 95/2 in 9.5 overs.
Calder United proved too expensive for Shop for Less Nice Radio Clinchers 2 in beating them by 6 wickets.
Shop for Less Nice Radio Clinchers 2, were short of capital after being restricted to 65/6 off 20 overs; Calder United then reached 66/4 off 10 overs.
And Street Fighters mauled RSVG by 112 runs in the weekend’s final match.
Street Fighters were in an unforgiving mood and hammered the hapless lawmen to all parts of the Oval in a merciless display of flannel ball beating in reaching 184/5 in their 20 overs. Sean Greaves hit a topscore of 59 with 5 fours and 4 sixes, Ricoldo Thomas 38 and Ozzni Billingy 34.
Rohan Howard ended with 3/11 for RSVG Police who were dismissed for 72 in 16.3 overs with Ricoldo Thomas taking 3/8.
