Action continues today (Saturday) in the SVG Police Co-operative Credit Union Clinchers T20 Softball Cricket Competition at the Richland Park Oval.

Today, from 12:30 p.m., RSVG Police will take on Mt Pleasant and from 3 p.m., defending champions Country meet Town out ah Trouble 1 will engage Smart Strikers.

On Sunday from 9:30 a.m., Warriors Sports Club and Shop for Less Nice Radio Clinchers 1 face each other while from 12:30 p.m., Gairy Construction Simple Boyz will meet Fully Loaded Ballerz and from 3 p.m., Dr. Thomas Injectors and Gairy Construction Stingers will battle each other.

Teams are asked to be at the venue at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of their match.

In last weekend’s results, Streetfighters, Shop for Less, Nice Radio Clinchers 1, Dr Thomas Injectors, Calder United and C.G.M Gallagher Novice all enjoyed the sweet taste of victory.

On Saturday, Street Fighters defeated Country Meets Town out ah Trouble 2 by 9 wickets.

Country Meets Town out ah Trouble 2 took to the crease first and were restricted to 77/6 from 20 overs, Streetfighters replied with 80 /1 from 8.2 overs Leroy Danzel 51* which included seven sixes and one four.

And Shop for Less, Nice Radio Clinchers 1 defeated Sea Operation Nar Fren Dem by 7 wickets. Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem, who batted first, were held to 71/7 from 16.5 overs, Keno Matthews 49 in which he counted 5 sixes and 3 fours as Donaldson Harry took 3 /5 from 3 overs. Shop for Less, Nice Radio Clinchers behind Donwell Hector 45* (4×4, 4×6) reached 72 for 3 from 8.1 overs.

On Sunday, Dr Thomas Injectors, behind another excellent all-round performance by Damion Allen, defeated Bruce Law Chambers Smashers by 4 wickets. Bruce Law Chambers Smashers, on the shoulder of Delano Woodley 44* (3×4,3×6), reached 105/5 from 20 overs as Allen grabbed 3/23.

Dr Thomas Injectors replied with 109/6 from 17.3 overs with Allen 44 (2×4, 5×6) and Kezron Ashton 31* being the leading scorers as Shayon Pope took 3/17.

C.G.M. Gallagher Novice defeated Log Enterprise Supreme Strikers by 8 wickets. Log Enterprise Supreme Strikers were restricted to 69/ 9 from 20 overs through the bowling of Donte Williams 4/8. C.G.M. Gallagher Novice then rushed to 70/2 from 10 Overs with Roderick John 29 (2×4, 3×6), Elton Williams 28* (1×4, 3×6) leading the charge.

The other match saw Calder United winning from Sion Hill Tallawahs by default.
