Police who were on the lookout for a person of interest and his vehicle found the man dead in a car Friday night with injuries to the face.

The dead man, Conliffe Williams, was of interest to police in North Central Windward, but the reason why police were interested in him is not yet clear.

Information reaching iWitness News indicates that a police patrol found Williams dead in his car in Upper Richmond Hill around 10 p.m. Friday.

His body was found in a blue Toyota Sprinter, registration number PR613.

iWitness News understands that the vehicle was also of interest to police.

Detectives at the Major Crime Unit have launched an investigation into Williams’ death.

An autopsy will be carried out on Williams’ body and if his death is confirmed as a homicide, it will bring the homicide count in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to 23 for the year.
