The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla will make a one-day official visit to St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) on March 20.

The visit is part of a tour of the Caribbean that will take them to six countries and one Overseas Territory, during which they will undertake over 50 engagements across 10 islands.

The tour takes place from March 17 to 29 and will see the first official visit by a member of The Royal Family to Cuba.

The tour will also take them to St. Lucia, Barbados, St. Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, and The Cayman Islands.

This will be The Duchess of Cornwall’s first visit to SVG, St. Kitts and Nevis, Grenada and The Cayman Islands.

The Prince of Wales is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest child of Queen Elizabeth II.

In SVG, key themes in the programme will include youth opportunity and female empowerment, as well as the preservation of the islands’ natural environment.

Her Royal Highness will visit the SVG Community College and St. Vincent Girls’ High School, where pupils have been busy creating their entries for The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, a release said.

The tour will begin in St Lucia on March 17 and on March 21, The Prince and The Duchess will visit both parts of the dual-island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis

They will visit Grenada on March 23 and Cuba on March 24-27 before travelling to the Cayman Islands on March 27, where they will visit all three islands.

The Prince of Wales has visited 45 out of 53 Commonwealth nations. The Duchess has visited 21 Commonwealth nations with The Prince of Wales.
