There are now four active COVID-19 cases in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The country recorded one new COVID-19 case on Tuesday,
The adult traveller arrived from the United States on Sunday with a negative SASR-CoV-2 PCR test result.
The adult will remain in isolation until cleared by two (2) negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test results, the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) said.
“All of the close contacts have been informed and will continue in quarantine as per their medical officer’s orders,” NEMO said.
SVG has now recorded 68 COVID-19 cases, 64 of which have recovered.
“The Health Services Subcommittee of the National Emergency Committee/Coronavirus Taskforce urges continued compliance with all protocols in place designed to protect the Vincentian public,” NEMO said.
