Minister of Health St. Clair Jimmy Prince, was today (Tuesday), admitted to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital “for observation”, his permanent secretary, Cuthbert Knights said in a press release.
“The ministry wishes to reassure the public that Minister Prince is stable and is resting comfortably,” Knights said of Prince, who is also Parliamentary Representative for Marriaqua constituency.
Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves has taken over ministerial leadership of the Ministry of Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment during Prince’s hospitalisation, the statement said.
“We welcome your prayers and well wishes to him and his family for a quick recovery.”
Prince, a retired communications specialist, was last November elected to a second consecutive five-year term as MP for Marriaqua.
He entered politics in 2015 after retiring from the public service as director of the Agency For Public Information.
