St. Vincent and the Grenadines recorded its second shooting death this week, with the killing, on Wednesday, of a man in Brighton.
Police said that unknown assailant(s) shot and killed Edward Samuel, a 60-year-old resident of Brighton around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday night.
He was shot multiple times about the body and was pronounced dead at the scene, making him the 26th homicide victim in this country this year.
Samuel’s death comes two days after that of Romano “Carpie” Thomas, a 29-year-old labourer of Mckie’s Hill.
Thomas died in hospital on Monday morning, after being shot in Paul’s Avenue about 6:38 p.m., on Sunday.
Persons with information pertaining to this investigation are asked to telephone 1784-456-1339 or 1784-458-4200 or any police station.
They can also speak with any police officer you are comfortable with, the police said, adding that all information will be treated confidentially.
The seriousness of this cannot be underestimated because one death is one to many and getting the public help will always be important, so my question is why when Mr John were shot and give the same police all the information about his attacker it took them so long before doing anything about it?
