Barbadian and former West Indies fast bowler Tino Best will be a special guest on Sunday at the finals of the Shevern John T10 cricket competition, in Owia.
Best will also give a motivational speech, organisers of the tournament have said.
Quarter and semifinal matches were played last weekend at the Fancy and Owia Playing fields, with one match rescheduled due to bad light.
That semifinal match between Diamonds and Byera Linkers would be played on Saturday at 1 p.m., at the Owia playing field, which will be followed by the third-place playoff.
In the matches played last Saturday at Fancy Playing Field, Owia Strikers were on target, securing 163 for 2 from their 10 overs. Rum Hitters only managed 79 for 8.
Salvan Browne of Owia Strikers top scored with 55 runs while teammate Denson Hoyte took 4 for 11 from 2 overs.
In the other match played at Fancy on Saturday, Sion Hill (Sandy Bay) batted first and scored 100 for 5 from their 10 overs.
La Vue HardKnocks were no competition, mustering 58 for 7 from their 10 overs.
In that game, Shamick Roberts, of Sion Hill, top scored with 27 while bowler Deronick Nanton, also of Sion Hill, took 3 for 10 from 2 overs.
Also on Saturday, but at Owia Playing Field, Diamonds defeated Famalay and Friends.
Famalay and friends scored 50 for 7 from 10 overs while their opponent scored 51, losing 1 wicket in just 6.4 overs.
D. Harry of Diamonds was consistent in his bowling, taking 2 for 2 from 2 overs.
In the female category, Pappy Walter 11 demonstrated prowess, scoring 121 for 1 from 10 overs. Passionate Girls only managed 70 for 3.
Giada Small of Pappa Walter 11 top scored with 46 and her teammate, Danique Baptiste was outstanding in her bowling taking 1 for 6 from 2 overs.
In the second match, Owia Strikers, undefeated in the tournament so far, outplayed Sion Hill (Sandy Bay) 93 without lost from 10.
Sion Hill struggled to 67 for 4 from 10 overs.
Salvan Browne of Owia Strikers scored 43 and his teammate, Deronick Nanton took 1 for 10 from 10 overs.
Final match played was between Warriors 11 and Famalay and Friends. Warriors 11 batted first and scored 65 for 5 from 10 overs but their conquering spirit were no match for Family and Friends who closed their gap at 66 for 5 from 9 overs winning the game.
Patrina Carter of Family and Friends top scored 21 while Channel Mackee took 2 for 6 from 2 overs
