During the arraignment, the prosecutor, Corporal of Police 817 Stapleton told the court that Ashton and Horne were not living together.
The prosecutor did not object to bail but asked that Ashton have no contact with Horne and that reporting conditions be imposed.
Magistrate Kaywana Jacobs set bail in the sum of EC$2,000 with one surety, ordered that the defendant have no contact with Horne and report to the Colonarie Police Station on Wednesdays between 7 a.m., and 6 p.m.
She also adjourned and transferred the matter to the Colonarie Magistrates’ Court for hearing on May 16.
