A man was gunned down in Redemption Sharpes around 10:30 p.m. Monday, one year after he admitted in court that he told his ex-girlfriend “I feel like put gunshots in your f***ing head.”
Police said on Tuesday that Junior Bibby, 28, of Trigger Ridge, Redemption Sharpes, was on his way home when gunmen attacked him.
He has become the 18th homicide victim in St. Vincent and the Grenadines this year and the second person to be shot and killed in Trigger Ridge, following the shooting death of murder suspect Romano Pompey aka No Mercy by police on April 24.
Police have not offered any theories about Monday’s shooting, which they said they are “actively investigating” and are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in solving the case.

In May 2023, Bibby made headlines after pleading guilty at the Serious Offences Court to a charge that on May 14, he used threatening language, to wit, “I feel like put gunshots in your f***ing head. I have real gunshot for you. You soon dead. I killing you — you ****king m****r c***”, to Diane Miguel, also of Redemption Sharpes.
Bibby threatened the woman after she did not give him EC$50 that he had asked for via a WhatsApp message.
The magistrate had bonded Bibby for three months in the sum of EC$1,000 or three months in prison.
In August 2017, Bibby and Kareem Charles were shot and injured as gunfire rang out near the playing field in Redemption Sharpes. Sources told iWitness News that the shooting was part of a gang war that had been taking place in the Central Kingstown community.
