A Coast Guard officer is in hospital after being stabbed during an altercation involving two other men at Heritage Square, Kingstown.
iWitness News was reliably informed that the officer was liming with friends around 3 a.m. Saturday when an altercation broke out between one of the officer’s friends and another man.
The officer intervened and was stabbed several times.
He was rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he remains a patient.
iWitness News was unsure of the officer’s condition at the time of publication.
On Nov. 22, 2019, Curtland Jack, an auxiliary police officer, was left paralysed from the chest down after Tyson Spencer, of Green Hill, shot him and two other people at Heritage Square.
In July 2022, Spencer, then 33, was ordered to spend 15 years in prison for his crimes.
