The majority of primary, secondary and technicainstitutions in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will reopen for the 2024-2025 academic year on Monday, as scheduled.

However, the opening of a number of these institutions will be delayed, with classes resuming between Sept. 4 and Sept. 16.

The Ministry of Education said that the phased reopening is due to the impact of Hurricane Beryl on July 1.

All government-owned and operated early childhood centers will reopen on Monday, Sept. 2, except the Owia Early Childhood Centre.
