St. Vincent and the Grenadines has launched a year-long advertising campaign in London, to capture the attention of United Kingdom (UK) holidaymakers looking for a refined and refreshingly different Caribbean escape.

The “Discover More” campaign was launched in collaboration with Virgin Atlantic on the streets of the historic Kensington Court, as part of the destination’s efforts to increase visibility and boost visitor arrivals to SVG.

As part of the promotional campaign, 10 branded iconic London black cabs were unveiled featuring eye-catching SVG imagery.

The popular London black cabs will act as roving billboards across the city of London over the next 12 months, promoting the destination and the convenient Virgin Atlantic flight from London Heathrow to Argyle International Airport.

SVG’s Minister of Tourism Carlos James welcomed the initiative as the multi-island destination ramps up its presence as a globally competitive tourism destination.

“This campaign signals St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ rapidly growing reputation as a globally competitive tourism destination. This kind of presence in one of the world’s major tourism source markets reinforces our hard work to keep St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the radar of high-value international travellers,” James said.

He said this strategic focus on the UK provides an opportunity for SVG to further tap into the UK market, while capturing the attention of prospective tourists to the destination, visiting the London metropolitan area.

“Our island is emerging as a must-visit destination by industry leaders and travel advisors, and we are happy to reinforce that message with this year-long campaign in the London metropolitan area, with a population of over 9 million residents and over 10 million visitors annually,” James said.

Stop wasting your money. Focus your advertising dollars on North America. Those are the only people that really spends money. Look at your tourist revenue for last year versus the other years and you will find your answer.
