Police in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are investigating an incident in which one of their ranks is alleged to have stabbed a relative of a judicial officer multiple times on Saturday.
iWitness News was reliably informed that the officer is alleged to have broken into the home of an adult female in an East St. George community and stabbed her multiple times.
The police officer is believed to have been involved in a relationship with the woman at some point.
The woman, who is said to have lost a lot of blood because of her injuries, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Her condition at this time is unknown to iWitness News.
Sources in the know told iWitness News that the officer is alleged to have used a crime scene overall during the attack on the woman.
He is alleged to have accessed the woman’s house by breaking through a window before stabbing her repeatedly with a pair of scissors.
The office is said to have then fled, leaving behind his wallet, which contained his identification documents.
There are some good police officers in SVG abd there are certainly some rotten ones. Those miscreants are not among the finest, they are the law onto themselves. In order to maintain the trust of Vincentians, the authorities must were them out least the old Vincentians adage hold true of “One mange shep spoils the whole flock”.
There are numerous allegations of police officers abusing their authority. Iwitness news carried previous stories whereby a Junior constable was alleged to have rape a minor , police officers owning mini vans involved in numerous traffic infraction without being charged and the, incidents involving officers entering private property to make an arrest without having an arrest warrant and the list goes on. .
The RSPF is a microcosm of Vincentian society ,therefore, it is reasonable to assume that they will have the fair share of rotten apples. What must be in place to ensure oversight? An effective police complaint bureau. Which from all accounts is ineffective. Then and only then will the rotten eggs among us will.be held accountable for their crimes.

Look at the kind of things police doing people and the government not looking in to these kinds of things so when thing happen how can we go to police to make report when they are not better look at how vincy come police is to protect look at these kind of wickedness if police nah beat up is stab if not stab is shooting and the government just sitting back doing nothing we never even hear about the police who got shoot from the other police
If this is really the case, can we ask the question, he allegedly worn a Crime Scene Suit (Overalls), to committ the crime, but yet his wallet was left behind containing his documents. Could this be a case of someone setting him? CSI suit worn and yet his wallet somehow falls out? Or was he just that careless?
However, this also begs the question on “hard on crime and the causes of crime” , “Pan against Crime” and all the other activities against Crime, yet the ULP cannot get a handle on crime. Especially when over the years, there have been allegations against member of said party.

The police forces around the Caribbean are filled with criminals. The standard of the vetting process seems to have been dropped significantly and also, some persons are recruited in the police service due to political influences. The forces should not be controlled by political powers, whoever they may be. The filters needs cleaning or changing and the commissioners of police and the police service commissions, need to let polititians keep their filthy hands and mouths away from the daily running of the police services.
