Seven students in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will have a significant portion of their education over the next seven years financed by scholarships from telecommunications provider, FLOW.
They join 40 others who are currently receiving the scholarships and hundreds more who have benefited since the initiative began in 1984.
During this year’s scholarship presentation ceremony, eight students were awarded scholarships and educational grants under the FLOW Scholarship and Grant Programme.
The 2025 awardees are Xai Scrubb, Mhaiyah Samuel, Cleaon Woodley, Raffique Latchman, Kree Dellimore,I mani De Young, and Raynae Padmore, who received scholarships, while Darius Ash received a one-time grant.
Each FLOW scholarship is valued at EC$11,400, disbursed over seven years to support students throughout secondary school and attendance at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College.
Ash’s one-time grant was EC$1,400.
This initiative was launched in 1984 through a partnership with the Commericial, Technical and Allied Workers Union.
To date, over 500 Vincentians have benefitted from the initiative, with FLOW disbursing more than EC$39,000 in scholarship payments during this year’s presentation ceremony.
An additional EC$17,000 is expected to be paid out once CSEC and CAPE results are released.
The FLOW Scholarship Programme is one of several philanthropic efforts undertaken by the company.
