Police are conducting a major operation in Mustique after 35 packages of cocaine weighing 35kgs and an object believed to be a remnant of a grenade were found on the island on Tuesday.

Information from the private island, which is part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, has been limited.

However, iWitness News was reliably informed that police had dispatched explosive experts to the island, which is famous internationally as the playground of the world’s richest, including Hollywood stars and British Royals.

Sources in the know told iWitness News that no arrests had been made as of publication time but the investigation was continuing.

  1. So is who you think have a thirst for cocaine in SVG? There is no large appetite for this drug among locals. Locals will grvitate more towards marijuana but the rich like pure cocaine.
Once there is demand someone will supply.! Another sacrifice for tourism.

  2. SVG is selling off the Grenadines peace by peace to “private owners” while the locals suffer. Who needs cocaine, not the locals.

  3. As SVG sells off the Grenadines piece by piece to private owners, the local population bears the brunt of the negative consequences. The irony is stark—this economic shift is as damaging as the drug trade it may aim to surpass.
