The male-female couple whose bodies were found in a car in Fenton Mountain on Monday was beaten and strangled by unknown assailant(s) earlier that day.
The man’s parents, Dalwin and Gailene Glasgow, of Rillan Hill, have identified him as Kamalo Glasgow, 24, also of the South Leeward Village.
Police said that the female is Cassique Richards, aged between 25 and 26, a domestic of Walker Piece, Montrose.
The bodies were discovered in the Fenton Mountains around 4:15 p.m. on the day that St. Vincent and the Grenadines celebrated its 46th anniversary of independence from Britain.
The deaths bring to 33 the number of homicides in the country so far this year, following 54 in 2024 and a record-setting 55 in 2023.
Glasgow’s parents spoke to iWitness News on Wednesday, saying that they were still trying to understand why someone would kill their son, especially so violently.
They said that their son lives on the ground floor of their two-storey house and had recently started to date Richards.
Mrs. Glasgow said that her son, like her, was a security guard and worked the night shift in Campden Park on Sunday night.
She worked in Kingstown that night, and he picked her up on Monday morning, and they went home together.
Mrs. Glasgow told iWitness News that she suggested that he leave Richards in Montrose, but Kamalo said that he would drop off his mother, then drop off his girlfriend.
They got to Rillan Hill at 7:15 a.m. and Kamalo went back to Montrose to take Richards home.
However, when he had not returned at 9 a.m., his mother began to call him without success.
Mrs. Glasgow told iWitness News that she found it strange as her son always had mobile data.
The mother said she went to clean her yard, but abandoned the effort after she almost cut her hand with the cutlass.
She again told her husband to call their son, but there was still no reply.
“I said, ‘Something like it wrong with my son’,” she said, adding that she told herself that he would call her when he arrived at work at 5 p.m. that afternoon.
However, no call came.
Then, sometime after 6 p.m., Mrs. Glasgow’s brother and one of their female neighbours went to see her.
“She said, Gailene, sit down.’
“I said, ‘Sit down for what?’ She said, ‘Gailene, sit down.’ I said, ‘Me nah sit down.’
“He (Mrs. Glasgow’s brother) passed the phone to her (the neighbour) and she brought up the thing and she said, ‘Gailene, this is not your son?’
“And that is when I fell down and they raised me up and put me on the step.
Mrs. Glasgow had been shown a photo of the bodies of her son and Richards in the front seats of the car.
That is how she found out that her son, whom she had tried to reach all day, was dead.
Initial reports had suggested that the duo had been shot and killed. However, Glasgow said that when police contacted her initially, they said that they had not found any spent shell in the vehicle, and the autopsy might reveal the cause of death.
She said she identified her son’s body before the autopsy.
“It was so hard for me,” she said as her husband added that he could not face identifying his son’s body.
“I notice the mark like somebody strangled him,” the mother said. “He had bruises on the lip and chest area. It was like he was fighting for his life.”
Mrs Glasgow told iWitness News that the autopsy concluded that her son died of strangulation with a blow to the back of the head contributing to his death.
Mrs Glasgow said that Richards’ body appeared as if she had been beaten severely.
“Her face. My God! They beat her really bad,” she told iWitness News.
She said she was not sure how they got to Fenton, where their bodies were found.
Mr. Glasgow said there was a lot of mud in the front seat of the car, and there was some minor damage to the vehicle.
“I can’t find words to express how I feel,” the father said, as Mrs. Glasgow added that she was “broken”.
Mr. Glasgow, a sailor, has to return to work next week. He said he will present his son’s death certificate, after which he will be granted leave.
The couple has three other children, two girls and a boy.

This seems like a crime of passion. Investigate the lady ex boyfriend.
Sounds like an ex that was still hang up on one of the victims. It can be an ex girlfriend why the female victim was beaten so severely indicating their must have been more than one accomplice or an ex boyfriend that wasn’t too happy his ex woman was dating someone else and all frankly you can see all that rage on her face! Definitely more than one person did that! I say 3-4
