Windies Masters stormed to their fourth consecutive victory when they took down Trinbago Leatherbacks by 7 wickets at Park Hill in the Fete Division Group A, of the 2025 SVG International Masters T20 Cricket Festival on Wednesday.
Trinbago Leatherbacks limped to 67 for 7 in 20 overs. Rudy Gibson bowled well for Windies Masters, taking 3 for 10 from his 4 overs.
Windies Masters then needed 10 overs and lost 3 wickets to get to the winning target of 68, of which Ronald Medford stroked 39. Bobbie Kallie’s figures of 2 for 20 were the best on the day by a Trinbago Leatherbacks bowler.
Munro Road Masters recorded their third consecutive win in the Fete Division Group A when they had the better of D&D Auto World by 26 runs at the Sion Hill Playing Field. Munro Road Masters managed 106 for 7 in 20 overs with Baliram Nayak scoring 26 and Ramesh Singh 23. There were 2 wickets apiece for Krishna Rampat, 2 for 15, Azard Mohammed, 2 for 16, and Sharif Mohummed, 2 for 20, bowling for D&D Auto World. D&D Auto World in reply could only muster 80 all out after 18.2 overs.
Anannad Sookram was their principal scorer with 27. Vejai Seonarine, 3 for 14, and Glen Farley, 2 for 13, strangled the D&D Auto World batting efforts. Staying atop of the Fete Division Group B are AMAAS Sporting Services Barbados Masters, who defeated Prime Minister’s XL by 8 wickets, to record their fourth win at the Stubbs Playing Field.
Prime Minister’s XL got up to 139 for 5 after 20 overs due mainly to 42 not out from Ashley Cordice and 27 from Rohan Ash.
William Lashley picked up 3 for 21 while Ken Mayers took 3 for 33 for AMAAS who in reply, lost two wickets in 15.4 overs to reach their target: 140 for 2.
Owen Berch was in fine form again, hitting 55 not out while Andy Payne added 44. They both shared a 92-run 2nd wicket stand for AMAAS.
Still in Group B of the Fete Division, New York/Stubbs Masters did not need to break a sweat to pick up a valuable three points as they won by default from North Leeward Masters in a game that was to be played at Cumberland.
Sarasota International Cricket Club was also in winners’ row in Group B of the Fete Division when they beat VJ’s North Windward Masters by 3 wickets under the Duckworth Lewis method at Park Hill.
VJ’s North Windward Masters managed 118 all out in 17.5 overs of which Olando Lavia stroked 57 and Keon Boyea added 32. VJ’s North Windward Masters were well placed at 82 for 3 before the entrance of Kissoon Rampersad who bagged 5-12 to destroy their lower order batting.
In reply, Sarasota set 102 in 16 overs, reached 103 for 7 in 15 overs. Beeshaw Sagar, 20 not out was the principal scorer. Osborn Jordon picked up 2 for 16 and Orlando Lavia 2 for 19 bowling for VJ’s North Windward Masters.
Completing Group B matches of the Fete Division on Wednesday, Woodland Masters made light work of Rungetters Sport Club by 8 wickets at Arnos Vale 2.
Rungetters Sport Club stumbled up to 62 all out in 17.2 overs, of which Amzad Mohammed made 27. Imtaz Rojan 3 for 9 and Rajendra John 3 for 16 wreaked havoc with the ball for Woodland Masters, who needed just 7.2 overs to reach 65 for 2 for the win.
Rickki Samaroo 19 not out and Chris Brathwaite 17 guided Woodland Master to victory.
Clarke Road Veterans completed an exciting 6-wicket triumph over Canada Masters Council at Arnos Vale 1 in the Festival Division.
Cricket Canada Masters Council got up to 146 for 6 in their allotment of 20 overs. Vinay Devisetty 54 and Kamal Parmar, 35, led the batting for Cricket Canada Masters Council. Mahodeo Moonesar took 2 for 28 with the ball for Clarke Road Veteran, who paced their chase well to end on 149 for 4 in 18.2 overs. Ravi Samaroo 64, Kevin Ramkaran 36 not out and Andre Brown 32 guided Clarke Road Veteran to victory.
To complete the Day 4 action in the Festival Division, Mustique Company Masters ambushed the Police Masters to win by 17 runs at Arnos Vale 1. Mustique Company Masters totalled 149 for 7 in 20 overs, behind a 59-ball 79 from Shem Browne.
Hyron Shallow snapped up 3 for 21 bowling for RSVG Police Masters who were restricted to 132 all out in 18 overs. Salvan Browne scored 43 while Mcleon Williams added 30.
Shem Browne came back with the ball to take 3 for 7 to complete an excellent all-round performance.
