Minister of Foreign Affairs Fitz Bramble says the New Democratic Party administration will assign to the country’s diplomatic missions “staff who are not only qualified, but who can be trusted to implement the policies of our government”.
He said the new administration — which came into office on Nov. 27 by winning 14 of the 15 parliamentary seats — will leverage St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ (SVG) foreign relations and its diplomatic offices as the primary vehicle for implementing foreign policies to the benefit of all Vincentian people.
“Our new administration will continue to reflect on our participation in regional and multinational organisations with a view to reaffirming our commitments in the interest of the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” Bramble said in a statement published on his ministry’s Facebook page.
Bramble, who is also minister of foreign trade, foreign investment and diaspora affairs, said the government is resolute in its efforts to work with member countries in the regional and international sphere to build and secure the best environment for the development and advancement of national and regional interest and well-being.
The former diplomat said the evolving global realities confronting SVG are characterised by “meandering geopolitics and invariably overwhelming economic uncertainty amidst accelerating technological landscapes”.

He said these make it necessary and critical for small developing states such as SVG to adhere to a strategic approach, which should guide the country’s level and nature of engagement with other countries and how SVG serves its citizens.
“Our foreign trade and investment policies must be creative and realistic if they are to fulfil our quest for managing the vulnerabilities we face,” Bramble said.
He said that in this regard, the Vincentian diaspora is an important extension of SVG’s national community.
“My government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Honourable Dr. Godwin Friday, has identified and committed to the engaging and empowering of our Vincentian brothers and sisters living abroad.
“We firmly believe that our Vincentian diaspora can and will contribute to the meaningful development of our beautiful country,” Bramble said.

Keep Luta ,Fitz. He wants to get his green card and live in America. He has done an outstanding job. Don”t think this new administration, has anyone better that can take Luta’s place.
Outstanding job like what. Please enlighten me and as for wanting a green card{as you
]stated}That’s his problem not the people or the GOVT of SVG.
You have to be kidding me keep who luta? Let him get his green card how he can ,and by the was luta wasn’t doing anything for the people of svg all he was doing was jumping on the plane every weekend to campaign with his papa and yes there are more qualified people on the NDP team so who is you to tell ndp to keep that traitor
Let luta go to papa for another job he was given this job because of his political ties he has with Ralph
I think the person who said to keep luta was being sarcastic! He couldn’t really be serious.

Luta doesn’t need anyone to sponsor him for a green card. All Artists/entertainers whose work can be online can file for green card on their own.
Mr. Bramble I’d like to have a dialog with you when I get to SVG in a few weeks.
The previous government came sent a delegation to Canada with the idea of getting folks in the Diasporas to invest in SVG. I am not sure if it was successful because I didn’t attend. I hope you will setup a similar plan to visit the US and Canada.
The following is an article I sent out via email; to 300plus Vincentians and I am yet to get some feedback. So let me share it with you:
*****************************************************************************************************
Are there folks who’d love to invest in a project in SVG? It’s in Tourism that can be used by locals and tourists. I’d let you know more about the plan if I receive any inquiries. Investors can and will be able to use their investment for free when they visit. You’d love what I have in mind. Your family will be able to access the equipment for ½ the price when they visit. It will take letter from investors for family to access the plan.
I believe this one way we can help our families here; as well as the people at home, with investments that can be passed on to our children, grandchildren or even great-great-grandchildren.
So friends, Vincentians, countrymen please reply to get more information. We will get in touch with the Minister of Tourism to see how he feels about the project.
