Police have arrested a suspect as their investigation continues into the stabbing death of a man at his home on Monday.
Police said in a statement on Tuesday that they responded at approximately 9 p.m. Monday to an incident at the residence of Brandon Child, a 39-year-old engineer, of Villa/Fountain.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that an altercation occurred at Mr. Child’s home, during which he sustained a single stab wound to the chest,” police said in a statement.
Child was transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he died.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted on his body and police are continuing their investigation.
