Police have arrested and charged one of their colleagues in connection with a chopping incident in Georgetown on Friday.

iWitness News was reliably informed that Ezran Harper, a 39-year-old police officer, of Chilli Village, has been accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm on another villager.

Harper is charged alongside Damien Harper, a 30-year-old barber, also of Chilli Village, that they unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on Marcus Billy, 51,  by chopping him on his left foot and right hand with a cutlass at Langley Park, on Friday.

Harper, a constable with almost two decades of service, is attached to the Rapid Response Unit, a tactical arm of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

Both accused were granted station bail and ordered to appear before a magistrate on Monday.

  1. Anger management should be taught in schools starting for pre school level,,, my mother taught me, to please give up my right for peace sake.,,, if I am right, say I am in the wrong and say sorry.

    1. These black squad police always beating up ppl and getting away with it.
That’s another thing that needs to be dealt with

  2. This police force referred to as the RSPF, is a name that is irreverent and dated. The RSPF has been plagued with scandals of every dimension which is contrary to their mandate. The current article referenced sends off no alarm bells, given that the RSPF appears as though its an institution and a law unto itself.

Two years ago a junior constable from the Parkhill Area was accused of rape of a Sunday school child who was intrusted in his care and to drop her off at her her home. Iwitness News carried the article but somehow ,no closure was given as to the public as to the conclusion of the allegations.

It was said the accused was put on half pay. The accused was said to work out of the Calliaqua police station. What was the outcome Iwitness news? Give us closure.

  3. Good thing is that they didn’t sweep the police officer that should know better under the rug, if he had been in a different country his in the unemployment line, the victim was left in a bad way, over foolishness of the culprits, he needs full compensation as he lost body part

  4. Lonnie who ever you are , If your God condones crime my God does not . He loves the sinner but hates sin and set the csptives free, all i am asking is that when Iwitness news gives us an article, they must give us closure as in the case of a junior constable, a self proclaimed Christian from the Parkhill area who it was alleged to have raped an underaged school and Ssunday school child to give us closure. What is wrong with that?
