The Archery Association of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (AASVG) has announced “a historic wave of success” following the national team’s participation in four regional archery events, capping off an extraordinary 2026 season.
Pioneering regional remote leagues
Demonstrating strong administrative leadership, the AASVG played a key role in conceptualising and coordinating two groundbreaking mail-in competitions with the support of World Archery Americas:
- Caribbean Development Archery League (CDAL): A remote mail-in league connecting developing archers across 8 regional nations.
- Caribbean Premier Archery League (CPAL): A premier remote league featuring elite archers representing 7 countries from across the Caribbean.
In these virtual league competitions, Vincentian archers brought home four medals:
- CDAL: Kobi Branch – Silver Medal (Extraordinary Beginner Barebow Men)
- CPAL: Divya Jiandani – Gold Medal (Recurve U21 Women)
- CPAL: Richol Richards – Gold Medal (Recurve Women)
- CPAL: Karen Palmer – Bronze Medal (Recurve Women)
Outstanding Results at International Championships in Guyana
Building on their remote league success, Team SVG travelled to Guyana to compete from Oct. 22-25 in two high-profile live events: the 8th Caribbean Development Championships (CDC) and the inaugural 1st Caribbean Championships (CC). Over 200 archers representing 13 countries converged for four intense days of competition.

Looking ahead to 2027
