Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, Pro Vice Chancellor and Principal of the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies, will deliver a public lecture on the title of his latest book, “Britain’s Black Debt: Reparations for Caribbean Slavery and Native Genocide” at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown on Aug. 20.

The lecture is organised by the UWI Open Campus and forms part of activities to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the Abolition of Slavery in the English-speaking Caribbean.
