Officials from the Taiwan Embassy and Vincentian beneficiaries of the Taiwan scholarship programme will next week make presentations to encourage Vincentians to take advantage of scholarship opportunities in the Asian nation.

Richard Chen and Philip Shih of the Taiwan Embassy along with some alumni will make presentations on the 2014 Taiwan Scholarship at the Community College and National Public Library.

The first presentation will be held at the Division of Technical and Vocational Education on Feb. 19 at 1 p.m., followed by a presentation on Feb. 20 at the Division of Arts, Sciences, and General Studies on at 10 a.m., with a third presentation at the National Public Library on Feb. 28 at 4 p.m.

The presentations aim to outline the benefits of the scholarship, as well as the application criteria and procedures.

President of the SVG Taiwan Alumni Association, Gordon Shallow and other members of the Association will be invited to share their experiences of study in Taiwan.

The Taiwan Embassy says it welcomes Vincentian students and youths who are interested in pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in Taiwan to attend the presentations.
