C.K. Greaves Stars continued their winning ways as the Fourth Annual Dovers Electrical Services, East Kingstown Sports Association Softball Cricket Competition moved into week 5 on the weekend at Grammar School Playing Field.

In one of two games played on Saturday, Alcoholix had a 17-run win over Attackers 2.

Batting first, Alcoholix reached 94 for 7 off their allotted 20 overs. Captain Marvin Harry and Rawdon Bentick each made 23.

Lester Trimmingham took 2 for 13, Telon Samuel, 2 for 16, and Kendal Buntyne, 2 for 28, got the bulk of the wickets for Attackers 2.

In reply, Attackers 2 were dismissed for 78 off 19.5 overs. Kimron Jackson made 18. Ronald Scott grabbed 3 for 7; he was supported by Felix Baptiste, 2 for 3 and Winston Holder, 2 for 16, bowling for Alcoholix.

In the other game on Saturday, C.K. Greaves Stars got the better of Combine Forces, beating them by 26 runs.

Batting first, C.K. Greaves Stars reached 108 for 7 off their 20 overs. Roderick Sayers slammed 29. Kenroy Williams took 3 for 20 and Damal Little, 3 for 23, bowling for Combine Forces. In reply, Combine Forces were dismissed for 82 off 19.1 overs. Jerwin Williams bagged 3 for 16; he was supported by Ozico Williams, 2 for 10, and Garth Alexander, 2 for 14.

In one of two matches played on Sunday, Alcoholix also continued their winning streak, this time beating Combine Forces by 87 runs. Alcoholix, batting first, reached 139 for 7 off their 20 overs. Felix Baptiste made 23, while Captain Marvin Harry made 20. Terry Ballantyne bagged 4 for 30, bowling for Combine Forces. In reply, Combine Forces were dismissed for 52 off 14.3 overs. Ronald Scott, 3 for 7, Kenneth Lewis, 2 for 7, and Curtbert Springer, 2 for 13, all got amongst the wickets for Alcoholix.

In the feature match on Sunday, Dr. Thomas Injectors got the better of Attackers 2 by a mammoth 119 runs. Batting first, Dr. Thomas Injectors reached 165 for 5 off their 20 overs. Captain Damien Allen slammed 46 not out, Saeed Peter chipped in with 25. Robert Dallaway took 2 for 32, bowling for Attackers 2. In reply, Attackers 2 were dismissed for 46 off 15.3 overs. Emil Peters took 2 for 12, bowling for Dr. Thomas Injectors.
