The Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) has announced the 10 contestants for the Miss Carival 2014 pageant, slated for July 4, at Victoria Park.
They countries and their delegates are:
Antigua and Barbuda — Raynel Carroll
Barbados — Zhane Padmore
Dominica- Francine Baron
Guyana — Kiswana Jefford
Jamaica — Danielle Black
Martinique — Alexandra Chastel
St Kitts and Nevis — Kaeve Armstrong
St Lucia — Amy Stephen
Venezuela — Genesis Valera Seijas
St. Vincent and the Grenadines — Shadeisha George
Contestants and their chaperones will arrive in St. Vincent on June 30 and leave on July 5, and can remain for the duration of Vincy Mas at their own expense, if they wish.
A programme of activities has been organised by the CDC’s Beauty Shows Committee and the public will have opportunities to meet the contestants in various places. The media will have an opportunity to interview and photograph the contestants from 10 a.m. to noon on July 1 at Young Island Resorts Ltd.
“Over the past months the Chairperson of the Beauty Shows Committee was in contact with all countries to ensure that appearances are stage ready and of a high standard,” Cheryl. G. Rodriguez, chair of Beauty Shows Committee said in a press release.
Miss Carival 2014 will return to its former position on the calendar of events for VINCY MAS to allow returning nationals and visitors to attend their favourite show, Rodriguez further said.
“The BSC is making every effort to ensure that patrons witness a successful, entertaining production of Miss Carival 2014,” she said.
