The Windward Islands youth selection committee has selected four Vincentians from the just concluded Windward Islands Under-19 cricket tournament held in St. Vincent.

The players are Anson Latchman, Gidron Pope, Obed McCoy and Shammon Hooper. The captain is Grenadian Ronald Cato, with Dominican Kershakie Jno Lewis as Vice-Captain.

The other members of the team are Deron Hypolite, Ryan John, Sherman Lewis, Melvin Gordon and Craig Phillips of Grenada, along with Khamarl Hamilton of Dominica and St. Lucians Dornan Edwards and Tonius Simon.

There are four reserves: Vincentians Romano Pierre, Kevil Charles of Grenada, Josiah Hilton of Dominica and Shadrack Descartes of St Lucia.

The West Indies Under-19 tournament is scheduled to take place in Guyana from the July 20 to Aug. 16.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines won its final game against St. Lucia at the Arnos Vale main playing field. Final results of the 2014 Windward Islands Under-19 tournament are:

1st Grenada — 24 points

2nd St. Lucia — 19 points

3rd SVG — 18 points

4th Dominica — 6 points.
