Former New Democratic Party (NDP) spokesman, Elwardo “E.G.” Lynch will be buried in Georgetown on Saturday, his daughter, Shafia London-Williams, said on Facebook on Sunday.

Lynch, who hosted the NDP’s weekday programme, “New Times”, for 11 years before falling ill in 2012, died on Wednesday after a prolonged illness consequent upon a series of strokes.

He was 67.

“The outpouring of love and care by so many of you is truly appreciated,” she further said of the man who helped to re-energise the NDP after its 12-3 election defeats in 2001 and 2010.
