The man who ran into a woman’s yard during the predawn hours of Sept. 6 then died, had been shot, police have told I-Witness News.
Police say that an autopsy conducted on the body of the man, Lenroy King of Kingstown, concluded that he succumbed to gunshot wounds.
They are investigating his death as a homicide.
The woman in whose yard the man died, told I-Witness News on Sept. 6 that she was home alone when she heard someone shaking down the gate to the patio around 1:15 a.m. that day.
The woman, who does not want to be identified in the media, said she initially thought it was her boyfriend.
She said she peeped through her window, and while she did not see anyone, she heard someone gasping.
She said she opened the door just a crack and saw a foot and a pool of blood.
She was so scared that she locked herself inside and contacted the police, the woman told I-Witness News.
