On the heels of the recent announcement of an EC$16 million investment in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, telecommunications provider, LIME has launched “Upgrade Vincy”.

St Vincent’s launch is positioned as part of a wider Upgrade Caribbean initiative, which will allow the island to benefit from maximum reliability and 100 per cent coverage of Superfast 4G and Superfast Broadband penetration. It will also see the company upgrading stores, services as well as the website, all in tandem with its network upgrade implementation plan.

LIME St. Vincent has also announced the launch of their Customer Appreciation Week 2014, which will take place from today (Monday) to Friday. The week of activities will include theme days such as Health Day, Wellness Day, Beauty Day, Senior Citizens Day and culminate with a special treat from LIVE Chef’s Kitchen on the promenade.

Over the next month all LIME stores across the region will sport a fresh, new, vibrant colour scheme, with a simplified palette with green as the overall signature colour.

LIME Caribbean CEO, Martin Roos said the company is excited about the upgrade plans and is proud of what has already been achieved under Project Marlin — the US$1.05 billion major network upgrade investment in the Caribbean region — since the start of the year.

“We have embarked on a major network upgrade and increased broadband penetration and speeds in several markets. Now we are going above and beyond, ‘the behind the scenes’ network upgrade to deliver refreshed retail outlets and more for our consumers. LIME is committed to delivering the best networks and the best customer experience to everyone in the region.”

CEO of LIME South Cluster, Geraldine Pitt reiterated LIME’s commitment to St. Lucia, Grenada, Dominica and St. Vincent through its total cluster investment of EC$86 million.

“This year we have upgraded our 4G coverage island-wide now making us the #1 network in the cluster. Our superfast broadband project is also well on its way. This major upgrade will allow customers to experience high Internet speeds and enhanced LIME TV,” she said.

She also added that with Upgrade customers will enjoy 4G experience with smartphones as low as $99 and 50% off the 1st two months when they sign up for broadband.

In addition to network upgrade, each year LIME, one the region’s biggest investors and employers, injects more than US$10 million into the local economies of the Caribbean countries within which it operates, through community development initiatives and sponsorships.
