Team Athletics St. Vincent and the Grenadines (TASVG) has selected six athletes to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in Vera Cruz, Mexico from Nov. 24 – 28.

The athletes and the events in which they will participates are as follows:

  • Kineke Alexander – 400m
  • Linda McDowall – 3000/5000m
  • Kasique Oliver – 800/1500m
  • Delohonni Nichol-Samuel – 1500/5000m
  • Kemorie Shearman – 200/400m
  • McKish Compton – 100/200m

The team is expected to depart St. Vincent on the Nov. 9 and return on Dec. 1.

TASVG) said this duration is necessary to allow the athletes to acclimatize to the high altitude conditions at the Heriberto Jara Corona Stadium in Xalapa.

There will be a meeting for members of the team at the Conference Room at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex on Saturday at 3 p.m. The meeting will brief athletes on all aspect of the Games and address any questions that athletes may have. Athletes are also asked to bring along their passports.

  1. Big up the Team Athletics SVG “Six”. On to Vera Cruz. I hope you take the opportunity to learn, grow and develop in your athletic performances, and prowess. Focus on significantly improving your times, heights, distances – – – and may they be vastly better than those of your fraternal, international colleagues from Central America and the Caribbean. Take in the fabulous scenes and culture also, guys.

  2. The CAC Games will be attended by different sporting disciplines. The meeting at 3pm is for the athletes from each discipline not just TASVG.
