Organisers of the Hairoun Beer Calliaqua Football Tournament have put all remaining games on hold until the Calliaqua Playing Field is dry.
“Presently it is in no condition to continue playing games,” organisers said on Tuesday after that day’s encounter.
They have also asked all footballers to refrain from practicing on the field, which has become waterlog as a result of incessant rain over the last week or so.
On Tuesday, playing in soggy conditions at the Calliaqua Playing Field, Playin It Safe defeated Diamond Youths 3 goals to 2.
Gary Cyrus, Troy Wyllie and Delroy Cyrus scored for Playin It Safe, and Esron Browne and Lorenso John scored for Diamond Youths.
