Hundreds of residents of St. Vincent’s leeward (western) coast have received “care packages” from telecommunications provider, LIME, a company tradition that is 15 years old.
Last week, a team from LIME, including persons from the sales and marketing departments, delivered foodstuff and toiletries to shut-ins and needy Vincentians.
The activity began in the Buccament Bay area and concluded in Fitz Hughes, touching the towns of Layou, Barrouallie, and Chateaubelair.
Packages were also distributed in
Petit Bordel, Plan Village, Sharpes Village, Golden Grove, Rose Bank, Troumaca, Dark View, Texier Road, Coulls Hill, and Cowdrey Village.
Recipients and other persons commended LIME for the gesture. Recipients ranged from a 5-year-old boy who was recently left parentless, to blind, crippled and bed-ridden individuals.
