The Vincentian public can now join the large number of persons around the world who are learning Mandarin Chinese.

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Kingstown is encouraging Vincentians to take advantage of the Mandarin Chinese course offered to be offered at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College Villa Campus.

The 12-week Level I Mandarin course will be taught by Betty Siao, a Mandarin teacher dispatched by Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF) and will run from April 7 to June 30, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Tuesday.

The course aims to enable persons to acquire basic daily-life conversation skills in Chinese.
