Two Union Island residents were on Wednesday charged with last weekend’s killing of Allington Caine, a security guard of Byera and Ashton, Union Island.
Derrol Small, 26, and Kemron Craigg, 20, both labourers of Ashton, Union Island, were arrested and charged jointly with the murder of Caine, 29, which occurred at Clifton, Union Island on Saturday, Aug. 1.
Police say that the accused men appeared at the Kingstown Magistrates Court and were remanded in custody.
The next court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 4 at the Serious Offences Court in Kingstown.
A post mortem examination carried on the body of the deceased on Tuesday showed that he died as a result of a blunt trauma to the head.
Caine’s death is recorded as the 15th homicide of the year, police say.
