A mid-upper level trough is forecast to start affecting St. Vincent and the Grenadines late Wednesday.

Forecasters said late Tuesday that the Atlantic ridge of high pressure will continue to be the dominant feature during the next 12 to 24 hours.

Shower activity is likely at that time, with an increase in intensity up until Friday, Dec. 23. Moisture will continue to linger into the weekend.

A high-surf advisory and small-craft warning remains in effect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines until 6 p.m. today.

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), through the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Office, will continue to monitor the situation.
